Bert's Best

Sesame Street - Doin' the Pigeon

I've been known to do this dance on occasion.

And what about Bert's hat? Nifty!

I've always had my doubts about Bert's intentions. Maybe it was the turtleneck sweater that he wore. Or his unconfirmed "relationship" with Ernie.

Questions to ponder as my own kids consider where to place Sesame Street in their own memories.

My sisters and I once gave our younger, sarcastic aunt a tongue lashing for insinuating Ernie and Bert were gay, in front of impressionable young relatives.

However, between us? No question. Let the kids figure that on their own.

Here via Michele today.

Hi Carmi, Bert's a real dag (as we would say.) Ernie and Bert are the muppet equivalent of the Odd Couple. Muppets is as Muppets does.

Cortney, Thanks for the visit. I think you where right to lash your Aunt. I think however that's its only a 'grown up' way of thinking that insinuates any further into Bert and Ernie's relationship. I know I always looked forward to seeing Bert's consternation at Ernie's antics and I still do.
