Crackle Mountain - The Princess Lily

The Princess Lily is the latest post on my folktale blog Crackle Mountain. Why not click through and enjoy the story, it will only take a few minutes:)

The image here is "Haunted Spirit" by Hokusai. Hokusia's most famous work is The Wave from the famous series Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji. Interestingly, Hokusai made this series very late in his life. He had to return to work because his good-for-nothing grandson had gambled the family's money away and left them destitute. Hokusai famously said on his deathbed, "If Heaven had lent me but five years more, I would have become a great painter."

I think he did alright, don't you?

That was an awesome story. I love bees, we get a lot of honey, bumble and field bees in our garden and I could sit and watch them all day long.

In Australia we have a beautiful native bee, it doesn't sting and it has an irridescent blue tail.

Merly, I love finding the pictures for the story. The pictures often direct my discovery of the story too, finding nuances that I hadn't thought of until then.

Captain, Thanks for leaving a comment on Crackle Mountain. CM was listed recently by a site in the US and I got 200 hits from it in 2 days. I thought "Gee! I better hurry up and write some more stories." I still have quite a lot of work to do on the site too. Not to mention fixing all the spelling errors:/ lol

fixing spelling errors.... the story of my life. Funny thing is I don't see my own, but I see everyone else's though.

dote is a headache to edit but I am getting better at it slowly. It helps when others nit pick for me :)

Nice that you get the site mentioned and get hits, that's cool I think.
